6-Pack 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 and 22-Inch Remo Frame Drums with Fiberskyn Heads

The Remo Frame Drum pack comes in a set of 6. The 12", 14", 16" and 22" Remo Fiberskyn® 3 Frame Drums with a thumb notch and four holes located around the circumference of the ACOUSTICON™ shell, excluding the 8" and 10" sizes. A variety of materials such as rope, string, leather or vinyl strips can be used to create a handle for the suspension of the drum using the four holes. This enhances the projection when you strike the drum with a mallet or hand. All frame drums are furnished with a Remo drumhead and are manufactured with Remo's patented ACOUSTICON™ shell, resulting in the same tonal characteristic found on traditional wood shell drums, with excellent projection and enhanced low-pitched fundamentals. History The Frame drum has its origins in the Middle East and is one of the oldest of drums. Traditionally, frame drums are played using fingers, by striking the edge of the drum to produce a "tak" tone. You can also hold it with one hand and play with a soft mallet or straddle it between your knees like a bongo drum.
